Combination of therapies is a common strategy in cancer treatment. Such combined only have merit provided that there superior therapeutic outcome with fewer side effects, compared to single therapies. Here, this work explores the possibility combine chemotherapy radionuclide therapy using polymeric micelles as delivery vehicle. For purpose, prepares poly(ε-caprolactone-b-ethylene oxide) (PCL-PEO) and load them simultaneously paclitaxel (PTX) 177Lu(III). This chooses 3D tumor spheroid composed glioblastoma cells (U87) evaluate The diffusion investigated by confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) light-sheet fluorescence (LSFM). results show are able penetrate deep into within 24 h incubation mainly accumulated around or lysosomes once cell. Subsequently, evaluates cell killing efficiency treatments (PTX 177Lu(III)) versus treatment + measuring growth spheroids well performing cell-viability assay. indicate achieves better inhibition treatments.
